Iroko, also known as African teak, is a medium-heavy, medium-hard exotic wood with a rich yellow-brown to dark brown color. Highly durable and naturally resistant, Iroko requires no preservative treatment, making it an eco-friendly choice for a variety of applications. It is especially valued in exterior joinery, outdoor furniture, and shipbuilding due to its exceptional longevity. While the heartwood is robust, the sapwood is fragile and often removed before export.
